About Me

Hello, my name is…Lauriann Bonner.  I didn’t know what name to put on my blog.  I’ve read so many cool names on these blogs but I had no imagination on what to name this page.  So, I used the name that a woman gave my mother the day I was born: my maiden name Lauriann Cruz. Even my mother didn’t know how to call me….

I was born on November 22:  Day of the Musicians.  Yes, I’m a musician.  I inherited that from my dad.  He was very talented and I guess that so am I.  (Ego aside)  Well, enough about that….I was born in New York but raised in the very sunny, hot island of Puerto Rico.  I don’t live in Puerto Rico anymore. On 2015, God moved me to Texas. I have lived in Dallas, Tyler and now I live in Chandler, TX.  I still believe that I don’t come from this world and that my real home is Heaven; but until the day that I go back home comes, I love living in Texas, USA.

I am a Christian; which is very important to me.  Even though in these times where agnosticism is gaining so much popularity there are still some of us who believe that life is not possible without the intervention of Almighty God.

I am recently married to the love of my life: Mr. Corey Michael Bonner. And the mother of my one and only daughter Anna (my pride & joy).  That’s the sweetest part of my life.  (And I know many parents will agree with me on this).  I’m also a professional educator, bachelor’s degree in Music Education (Voice), master’s degree in School Administration, I work in a traditional school in Texas but I still homeschool my daughter until she goes to college.  I’m a co-founder & Mom/Teacher at Joyful Christian Homeschool.  Details about that in http://joyfulchristianhomeschooling.com/

I am also an ordained minister and chaplain with a good sense of humor.  Life without laughter is no life at all.  Under all the stress of these terrible bad times we are living; we really need to look for a positive side.  It’s not easy but it is possible.

I hope I don’t bore my readers with all my rantings about married life; working as a teacher; mother of a teenager but I hope that you, same as me, are still looking for a little relief in this out-of-whack world.

Thank you for visiting my page and God Bless You abundantly! ❤ ❤

  2. I have to check my settings because I haven’t blocked my posts from replies. Something in my settings must be wrong. Sometimes I don’t understand how this dashboard works. I apologize for any inconvenience; I’ll check what’s going on.
I’m checking about the comments issues; I don’t know how it happened and I don’t know how to fix it. If you could please help me there; I will be very grateful…

  3. I can understand your frustration lauriann with having to wash your car at your Mums, Wow it would frustrate anyone.

It reminds me when I was first married we had to go to my Mum’s to have a shower, our outside bathroom had a chip heater, I’m not sure how it happened but it burnt the Bathroom down. I still feel blessed when I have a shower in my own home!

I’m still not sure why you have blocked everyone now from responding to your Posts, you can just block those who abuse you or are rude to you or you can continue to moderate, than they can’t just leave a comment. I don’t moderate after the first comment but I have deleted a few that were spiteful but mostly I deal with what they are upset about and in regard to Scripture, I never share anything that is not confirmed in them, so I seek to resolve differences not ignore them or delete them.

But when I first started Blogging I was being critically judged and slandered behind my back and also abused by e-mails, Ron joined me as protection, so yes I understand it can get unpleasant. I will be praying for you.

  4. The truth is I don’t like to block people; unless they offend me or are hostile towards me. Maybe I’m too sensible. But, who likes to be offended, right? Some people are more stronger than others….I guess, I’m not that strong. But I don’t like to offend so that I don’t get offended.
But I do take time to respond my readers.
About the car, if I had to wash it….it would have to be everyday. That’s the times the iguana leaves the droppings, many times a day. But I have to go to my Mom’s to wash it. I can’t do it at my apt. so I’m very frustrated because of that. Thanks for reading! God Bless You

  5. Just wondering Lauriann why you have blocked your comments, don’t you like people responding or don’t you have time to reply?

In response to being Blocked, it’s the person who Blocks who is rude, so don’t blame yourself, unless your abusing them and using offensive language than it is your fault but I’m sure you don’t do that.

When people are rude to me or ignore me on their Blog or they share what offends me Spiritually, I just don’t follow them anymore, as a Christian I’m careful what I allow into my mind, for example Pagan idolatry which mocks God or messages based on revenge is sweet, or the Occult, or rude and offensive language, as they say rubbish in rubbish out.

As for the iguana aren’t you pleased that Elephants can’t fly! Lol but True I could feel your frustration, how many times do you have to wash the car!

    Blessings – Anne

  9. Than thank you again lauriann for choosing to follow us and also for replying, some don’t bother to do this but others tell me the same, so it seems those who don’t are all about their own focus not others, and sadly that’s life for many.

I will look forward to sharing with you on your Blog and ours, and once again, it is so wonderful that you take the time to Home School and for the reasons why you do. A lot of Mums would rather be playing Tennis or enjoying a cuppa with friends while shopping and these are OK but putting your Children first is much more important and I see the difference in Children when Parents do this.

So thank you lauriann on behalf of your Children until they reach an age when they understand what you have done for them and say thank you themselves both to God and you.

  10. Hello and God Bless You! I did, in fact, chose to follow. I look for christian blogs who share the same messages. About homeschooling, I’ve been doing it for two years now. I homeschool my daughter and my nephew with Christian curriculums because schools here don’t allow to talk about religion. And it’s also cheaper and more fun. So may God Bless you in many ways and keep up the good work.

  11. I would appreciate knowing lauriann, if you chose to follow our Blog, I have found some don’t even know they have joined up with us but if it was your choice thank you and with reading a few of your Posts I can see that you have the same focus with God’s Truth, which I have also shared about in comments and Posts.

I appreciate greatly that you Home School your Children, this is a sacrifice of your time but it is so needed today with what is being propagated in Schools. We still have R.E in Aussie Land and I have taught Children for many years about God’s Love for them both in Schools and at home in my Funday Schools but I believe in America R.E is not allowed in Schools anymore.
